The overall quality of this spline is good. It is thicker than most of the similar products available but this was to replace an Anderson screen which has a metal spline in place and requires a thicker spline. Ease of use was semi difficult most likely due to my arthr. Overall it’s worth the expense because a new screen from the factory costs 10x what it cost to replace the torn screen.

Andersen screens have an unusual (aka not sold at Home Depot or Lowe’s) size and these fit perfectly. Just look online for tutorials on taking the old one out (you have to “break” this one little metal piece that doesn’t really affect anything).

Looked all over for this. I have a house from the 1970s that has the crank windows with aluminum screens. The spline inside the screen is a square piece of aluminum as well. This spline is exactly what you need if you have these windows. Just make sure when installing to not make the screen too snug or else is will pull the frame in and the little triangles that slide out to hold the screen in the frame won’t connect to frame. I normally put the screen in, test it in window, then cut the excess.

My husband liked the product. it was easy to use and fit nicely into the screen that it was used on.
