This compostable waste bag is the perfect size for the compost pail I keep on my kitchen counter. It doesn't rip or tear even with egg shells or bones. The bag does "sweat" causing condensation while in the pail but it is the right thickness to keep the contents contained without spillage.

Excellent product, this is my go-to for kitchen waste bin, I keep reordering these. Pretty thin, but biodegradable and a good value. My main mistake used to be putting it in regular SOLID plastic waste bin. By the time it was half full, unfortunately, the liner started to disintegrate right in the trash bin. The reason was accumulating moisture due to the solid designs of the trash bin walls, not allowing ventilation. I considered making vent holes in the trashcan walls, but then decided to try WIRE MESH bins instead. Bingo! The liners now remain intact until the bin is full, and it’s time to tie them up and take out the trash. I still try to put some dry waste in the bottom of the new liner, such as used napkins and a bunch of lint from the dryer filter. But overall the performance is great. BTW I ordered the mesh bins right here on Amazon. While one is being used, the second one is being aired on the balcony. Not that it’s really needed, because unlike with solid plastic ones (which NEEDED airing on the balcony) there is ZERO odor with these mesh bins.

I use these to line our counter compost bin, for which they work great. Using liners prevents it from getting messy and makes it really easy to take the compost out, since I can cinch up the bag and leave the bin on the counter.Compared to other compostable bags I've used, these are definitely MUCH stronger! Yes, if you leave your moist food in there for days on end, liquid will perfuse out the bottom (they are intended to break down, after all...), but I've never had one tear or break apart before tossing in the compost bin (unlike several other brands I've used). The roll inside the cardboard dispenser makes grabbing a new bag extremely easy. I keep the box in my cupboard and just pull and rip a new one off as necessary. They are very strong in the short term (once again, they are meant to break down, so, not to be used for storage) and have loaded them up with heavy scooped kitty litter on numerous occasions without them giving way. They don't break down super quickly in a home compost bin, but this doesn't seem to prevent the contents within the bag from doing so. Sometimes, I will have to pull little pieces of broken down bags out of "finished" compost, but it's a small price to pay for making the composting process that much easier.
