This was my first time trying out a standalone touchpad, and overall, it’s been a solid experience. I used it on both my Mac and PC, and while it definitely works better with MacOS, it’s still functional on a PC. It took a little time to get used to the gestures and sensitivity, especially since I’m more familiar with using a traditional mouse.Would I give up my mouse entirely? Probably not—but I do think this is a great alternative for people who prefer not to use the built-in force touch trackpad on their Mac. It’s responsive, slim, and feels well-made. The size of the surface is also nice—plenty of room for multi-touch navigation without feeling cramped. If you’re looking for a more ergonomic or portable option for navigating on a Mac, this touchpad is worth considering. Just expect a bit of a learning curve if you’re new to using one.

Normally use a track-ball, but often.borrow my wife's pricey Magic trackpad. I wanted to love the ProtoArc trackpad. It has a lot going for it. Excellent build quality, and very cool looking with large surface. Comes well packed and presented with a personal note from the designer. Instantly recognized by OSX.Comparisons are inevitable. This obviously is much cheaper than the Apple trackpad. It does offer some of the same functionality, but with some shortcomings. The normal finger combinations work flawlessly. Though I can never remember all of them. Typical things like "pinch to zoom" worked great. Double tapping works well.As others have mentioned, it's near impossible to perform click and drag. The buttons are indeed a little hard to press, even set to lightest touch in OSX. I set the device as tap to click, which is fine for closing /opening windows and making selections etc. . Part of my problem is that I'm also left handed -which makes it awkward trying access the left button with thumb crossing under. Keeping my trackball in LH, and doing trackpad with the RH was one effective combination and work around that made the device more useful. Especially for rapidly selecting things across the screen. If you're web browsing or doing typical mundane computer stuff like email, I think you'll still find the pad useful.Especially if using normal Apple finger gestures or being able to rapidly zip around the screen. But for serious editing, copying, and dragging, you'll need to also rely on your other pointing device.I evaluated this doing typical office stuff. But mainly work with music software (Logic, Finale/Dorico, and Abelton Live). I'm going to move the trackpad to my studio computer and see how well it works in that context, will update if it's a better experience.

Great trackpad for a low price that works seamlessly on both Mac AND Windows computers! I see other's complain about the click. Honestly - I hadn't noticed because I always use tap to click (just touching the trackpad). For the purpose of writing this review I did try out the click and yes - it is awkward to use - but again, I don't use it - so this is trackpad is just as good for me as an apple trackpad (but better, because I can use it back and forth with my windows and Mac computers without having to re-pair, since it is wired usb-c). All the multitouch features work great with both windows and Mac.

Trackpad arrived in a very well designed package. Quickly set up with iMac for a Zoom meeting. Cable provided is well made, braided and flexible and has good length for various situations. Use of either USB-C or USB-A connections helpful as is the ability to connect with a hub. It took a few minutes to get gestures set up. The trackpad is attractive and looks like a good match for a desktop iMac or MacBook.Does trackpad work with iMac using Ventura Mac OS without USB-C? Yes. Most features functioned normally. I had difficulty duplicating a few settings such as using two fingers to select text and use secondary menu commands on selection. I thought this was an OS limitation but it is possible to use force click with more pressure and may improve over time. I got better results with lightest click setting. Trackpad worked well while plugged into USB hub also.Does trackpad work with iMac M3 with USB-C? Yes, all gestures worked while plugged to a USB hub. Settings differed between machines requiring some work. I find there is a learning curve to switch between computers or pointing devices after extended periods of use.Build quality? Very solid, streamlined feel. Slimmer and slightly wider than Apple trackpad.Gestures available equal to Mac OS gestures? Yes, all gestures are available in settings with this device. Older Mac OS may limit some gesture features.Travel capable? It would be good to have a slim travel case, using shipping box works but is a little bulky and CPE bag provided too tight and flimsy for continued use.Does larger trackpad size help or hinder trackpad use? I expect the size to be a help with more complex gestures. Is trackpad a good replacement for wireless trackpad? Yes, it can be used with bluetooth devices and with practice the greater size and setup allow more gesture tools.I am impressed with the trackpad and its reliability connected to a well-made cable. The product designer introduced himself and his joy of the creative uses in the provided package. This speaks to quality as does the access to their service team. That quality shows in little things such as the sticker for the back of the pad or wherever the user wants for any service needs. I did find that it takes some adjustment to switch to the device from other long used wireless devices. Some settings may take adjustment and practice to get desired results I can recommend this wired trackpad to Mac users looking for a nice looking and well functioning alternative to wireless options.

It is a nice idea, with ups and downs. The track pad work pretty well. The only problem is the left and right buttons: they are hard to press and consistently the copy and paste does not work. I have to repeat the command (copy and paste) 4-5 times. May be the next version will improve this issue.
