This screen lasted two summer but not two years. Near the end of the second summer, the black housing where the magnetics lived began cracking and breaking. The magnetics fell out and then the screen didn't seal properly anymore. It seems fine for the price but it won't be a long-term solution with frequent use and daylight exposure.

We had a different type screen prior to this one. It lasted about 8 years. We super glued it several times, it wasn't this type, but it worked well for our Spring/Summer needs. Our old one was on a spring that held it in place at the top of the sliding door screen, and just draped over the door way. This one is so much better. We did have to take off our screen door to put this up for the summer. I don't know how or if we'll just keep it in place until it goes bad or not. We use this for our dog (50 lb goldendoodle) to go and come as she wants during the warmer weather. I love the magnetic close and it will be much better at keeping the bugs out this summer. I really like this screen. Durability and 'if' we can remove and replace each Spring/Summer is still unknown. I may give an update come Fall/Winter

It is better than any other i have tied, my dogs are not ripping every time they go out. I highly recommend this item to friends. worth every cent I payed.
