Been on the back porch for three years and still works great. It’s covered in dust and dirt and still kicking. Powers 4 speakers and a subwooferOnly complaint would be Bluetooth range around 30-40’, which isn’t a big deal to me but could be to some

Over the last year I decided to replace the super-cheap "stereos" I installed in the garage and work shops and used Pyle receivers throughout. Lots of noise pollution (air compressors, pneumatic tools, electric buffing wheels, etc) and all of the amps performed exceptionally well, even when pushing the volume. The speakers are modest, either Klipsch or Sony. I was so impressed with the receivers that I ordered another originally to keep my mother's Zenith console radio (1960!) working while the original tube chasses are restored. I could buy a bunch more Pyle receivers for what that restoration will cost. I subsequently decided to NOT restore the originals, hid the Pyle in the LARGE console interior and use the remote control. Looks and performs exceptionally well.I'm not sure I believe the power rating for these devices but the previous home owner dropped serious coin installing Bose speakers throughout the house and the amp on the receiver had no problem driving two pairs of Bose speakers 35 feet from the receiver as well as two local Klipsch bookshelf speakers (six speakers total). Absolutely no weak signals, no distortion or clipping. Note the in-wall speaker wires are as thick as an undersea cable. The other nice aspect of these receivers is the board has a fan which cools the decently sized aluminum heat sink. Very good bang for the buck.

Haven't had much time to use yet. Hooked up a few speakers and subwoofer. Music sounds good coming out of them. Volume wasn't cranked up as going very loud isn't what I was wanting. Have newer speakers on order including outdoor ones. The main reason buying this product was to have multi zones playing music in a garage and outside. Will update more as I use it with more details on outdoor speakers.

READ ME.This Pyle PTA44BT.5 4 ch amp, for the most part is a decent product inside and out. It is a true 4-channel amplifier. Note: everything's mono on the system, but it is a decent little PA. The negative on the speaker outputs are common ground. Use all 8 ohms speakers or higher if you can. I don't recommend using all eight 4 ohm speakers. It would be best to use just four 8 ohm speakers. This amp is not 500 watts My guess is 30-45 Watts X 4 that's my guesstimate. I would have to run a load test with different decibels and different frequency sweeps.4 ohms ? 8 ohms ?. ??.OK!I really like this amp..I Do, But, I had to fix it before I could honestly test it out. I bought this used and pre-cooked, and someone's been in it before me.The main cause of this problem is, (the system I have was manufactured using the wrong input voltage power supply). Buyer beware!! (if you have this issue?) (You MUST Use A proper step-down transformer or a small Variac) to reduce the voltage by,10-20 volts AC, if not, prepare to be disappointed with your purchase later on, or before it's too late.In most households here in the United States, normal AC voltages average around 116-119 Volts, but no more than 120 Volts AC 60 Hz dual circuit. However you can still run most Electronics and Appliances rated at 110, most switching power supplies regulate the input voltage without a problem and work just fine.AC motors and transformers rated with an input voltage of 110/120 Volts, at higher watts can run hotter, louder and drawn more power, not good for your electric bill either.Who knows till after your Electronics and Appliances fail just because it's receiving 120/110 volts ACHere's the problem off the bat. 116-119 Volts AC goes into my Amp, rated at 110 Volts AC. When this happens, the out put voltage of the power supply, out-put's more than the components inside can handle. The Toroidal transformer of My amp's input voltage is rated for 110-220 Volt, and can handle up-to 120 Volts just fine and does not run hot. The switch on the back of the amp should be set for 110 V, Note: if set for 220 V the voltage is the to low.So what's going on here really? What It Should Be:If the manufacturer used a rated 120 Volt 60 Hz Toroidal transformer the out-put voltage would be around 24 Volts AC X-2. Power Consumption may draw around 1-1.3 amps just a guess though. What The Problem Is:116-119 Volts AC is going into a rated 110 Volt ?? Hz Toroidal transformer, out-putting too much power and damaging components in the circuit.Technical Geek Stuff and other info:Testing my amp: Again rated for 110 Volts AC and is receiving 119.2 Volt. The output of the transformer is showing 26.03 x 2 and 52.06 AC across. 2 bridge rectifiers parallel, cool to the touch. 4 filter caps 35 Volts 3300 uF each. in groups of two X two parallel. making 35 Volts 6600 uF X 2 yielding a voltage of 35.4 volts per-side, Volts plus, neutral, and Volts minus. This has a balanced DC power supply in it, with a load of cooking resisters and hot relays, and voltage regulators. The transformer does have some good current but the amp should only use what it needs for current.I bought this amp used, through Amazon, and someone else before me tried to fix the problem, but the repair was far from correct. Just a barely stable repair. Most of the main resistors were hot to the touch, even the four relay switches were very warm and the resistors the sit between the relays were tanned. Who ever tried to fix my amp, used an over sized resister that was still too hot. None of the original resistors except for 1 are even the type that are supposed to get hot at all. Who ever tried to fix my amp just wanted it out the door so they could sell it. There was a loose screw rattling around in the case. I found that it went to the V reg and heatsink. The circuit board has really thin traces, some sections of the board were so bad I had to make jumpers, nothing left to solder to.Since then I've replaced most of the large resistors, with Parts I've saved from the 70s 80s and 90s with lower value and higher wattage resistors. I relocated the voltage regulator to the flat part of the amplifiers heatsink. For testing, I used a Variac to determine the best voltage to power the amps transformer. For now, until I fix the amp with more suitable parts to compensate the voltage problem, I use a 5 amp Japanese Step Down Transformer which I find very useful with a lot of other cheaply-made things rated at 110 that can't handle 120. Oh and yeah I want to replace the power cord, because it stinks and I don't trust the insulation inside of it, too soft and known for splitting inside.

PTA44BT 500W Amplifier.First things 1st. Price: the price is very low for a 500watt stereo amp. It was designed for singing if you have Mics. I use it is a 30×50 x14 barn. I don't believe it will output 500w on a pair of 4ohm high qualitie speakers.Second: This Amplifier sounds Awesome. I got 2 speakers 12ft up on the rafters at 25ft apart. Usually I set the volume about 30% at it has clear music from a 250G USB. If I crank it up to 80% I have to leave the barn. Its incredibly strong on clean amplification. I can go to my neighbors about 1,000 yards and it excessive loud and slightly distorted at there house. I'm sure if the speakers were outside I would lose what little distortion it may have had. After all, I'm blasting music from center from a big old tin barn on 7 acres so I can get away with it. 30% volume or less is all one needs for a smaller building. The control panel is very impressive. My only complaint would be that the controls are not back lit. But it has a remote, it's way ok for the price. Besides, if no back lighting was a problem, a couple of LEDs could easily be installed in a few minutes.I would buy it again. Highly recommended. Just make sure it has the Inputs you need.I am just writing this review because I have enjoyed this product for over a year now and the warranty is expired last month. However, this Amplifier deserves its own review because it is an Awesome product for what it costs. When you purchase one of these amplifiers be sure to also use quality speakers and wires. 👍👍
