QLT de Marshalltown Rebar Bender

So, to use this tool, you do need to have something to hold the rebar in place (vise, some type of jig, under something heavy, etc.). Not being used to this type of tool, I had to build a jig (2x6 with a 1/4'' metal billet) to hold in place the rebar itself whilst bending it. When you have such a holding apparatus, then it is fairly easy to bend (with minimal strenght) #5 bar. Haven't tried with smaller, or bigger rebar yet, and not planning to, but, with #5 bar, it works fine!

This is a beast and very well made! Much more beefy than I expected from the photo and having no other experience with rebar benders. I wasn't very familiar with the Marshalltown brand before buying this but as my project has progressed I've come to see how the company is a leader in the concrete tool industry. I've ended up buying additional products from them, including a bull float and a rock-it bracket for it. This rebar bender is a great deal, especially when you get free Amazon shipping on such a heavy item.

I was using a home made bender when I broke down and bought this one... It works great and this was a great price compared to other locations for the same exact unit. Heavy duty enough for all my bending needs and looks like it will last. why only 4 stars? it takes work! I mean who loves "work" right? If you're actually reading this review and like to work, give it an extra star for me.
