I use these starlink adapters to provide water tight RJ45 ports in exterior junction boxes containing LED controllers - used each year in an annual holiday light show. I have no complaints about the product and would recommend it to others.

I don't always like to use the mini's built in router so I usually have my own. I have a regular Starlink data cable, but it seems to always be the wrong length. Using these adapters I can build my own custom CAT 6 cables to use with the mini and still preserve the water resistant features of the mini. These pigtail adapters have the flange to mate with the mini and have a universal water resistant barrel assembly and female receptacle on the other end to protect my cable end. I can use any network cable with these. If space is limited, I just throw these in the bag and get a standard network cable on site. The workmanship is good and the jacket is sealed and outdoor rated. I haven't done an immersion test, but I feel comfortable with these in a rain environment as long as they are not submerged. If you have a mini, you need one of these.

My use case is that I found the hole on the Gen 3 dish to be too small for a standard ethernet booted cable to fit. I can use these on both ends, allowing me to use any 3rd party cable in between. Works like a champ.

These are a MUST-HAVE if you plan to use your own router with your Starlink. I already had a network set up before getting Starlink and didn’t have much use for the built-in router. So, getting these adapters was essential to keep everything running smoothly when using an Ethernet cable.Attaching them is straightforward and simple, and so far, I’ve had no issues with moisture getting where it doesn’t need to be. They work perfectly and are a crucial accessory for custom network setups.
