This has made bag making so much easier with a nicer looking end product. It compresses the seams without effort on my part. Easy to grip and saves my old hands from getting sore.

I use it on metal, works fine as a hand Seamer. As others said, the edges are a bit rough from the casting but i cleaned them up and seems to be great for my use. Price is great.

Just like all the other reviews, very sharp edges and will take some work. Not a huge deal, I can clean and polish to make them much better.Beware if your not great with some hand tools.

Out of the box there were some sharp casting edges that would have left a mark on the leather. With a little Emory cloth and some buffing with the Dremel the clamping surface is now smooth like it should be. No marks left on the leather. Took me about 10 minutes work to make this a very usable tool. It’s the cheapest one on Amazon and you usually get what you pay for. I’m guessing that I’ll get many good years out of it now. Just be prepared to smooth the jaws up some.
