First of all, there was zero mention that this is a US plug. Fortunately, I happen to have a universal travel adapter but that was purely coincidental.Secondly, it doesn't come with 9v batteries - although this is stated in the product description so I got some in preparation.Thirdy, I couldn't get either of them to work. I put in the 9v batteries, set the siren switch to ON, plugged them into my universal travel adapters, plugged the travel adapters into the wall, and turned off the power... and nothing. I tried turning the siren switch to OFF, try again, no change. No flashing light or siren.I tried different 9v batteries. Nothing.There's zero manual or photos or anything in the plain brown box they arrived in, but I managed to find a website that has a bit more information, but apparently I'm not doing anything wrong, mine just aren't working. I checked I was inserting the 9v batteries correctly,there are plus and minus symbols in the battery bay.

Purchased these for the outlet that my freezer in the garage is plugged into. Had issues with the freezer alarm batteries draining and the GFCI being tripped and the freezer being off without realizing it.

First thing, this works exactly like it should. We lost power at 3:46 a.m. and I woke up because I heard the alarm from my garage in my second story bedroom.I put this on my garage freezer after a faulty GFCI caused me to lose all the contents of my freezer twice earlier this fall.The problem though, is that where I live power outages for a couple of hours are pretty normal. This was so loud that at 4:00 a.m. I had to go down and turn it off.I think in fact what I would rather have is a smart plug that would alert me via text if the power goes out, or something like that. So it does exactly what it's supposed to do, but think what happens out of your power goes out for 2 hours in the middle of the night. Is that when you want the alarm to go off?

Facile à installer et fonctionne bien. Le son de l’alarme est très fort, un peu trop peut-être.

Inexpensive. Works. Crazy loud! I bought these so that my BiPAP machine (similar to CPAP) wouldn't suffocate me if the power failed. I was disappointed at first. I put a battery in and turned it on without plugging it in; it chirped and flashed once. That would never wake me! But it turns out that's just its way of saying hello. I plugged it in, turned it on, and then unplugged it, and I thought I had triggered the apocalypse. I probably woke up my neighbors -- and they are 1/4 mile away. I think it will be effective.
