I needed some hunting boots ASAP so I decided on these because of the price and appealing look on them. Upon opening them I realized that they were a bit brighter than what you see on the pictures, nevertheless they were still good looking. They were very tight so I had to loosen up the laces quite a bit, putting them on takes some jerking around but once they’re in they feel fine but taking them off is another struggle, so much that the soles came off as well every time.... whatever they’re outdoor shoes so I’m not complaining that much. The last test was to use them for hunting on an area that requires crossing a small creek, and waking up a steep hill with unleveled ground and it failed both tests. It’s waterproof until about 8 inches and water seeped through the laces area, so now I was uncomfortable the whole way up. The steep hill had me wobbling the whole time as the boots wouldn’t support my ankles that well so I had to be very careful with every step... overall they’re good for lightweight hiking and low water levels but if you’re looking for a serious hunting boot these ain’t it. Step it up and get a quality boot, I recommend lacrosse or muck boots for that.

Perfect for my 13 yr old hunter. He didn’t complain about them not being broke in, or weight, or getting his feet wet. For the price, I think it’s a win!
