Sturdy and strong meat fork. I could use it a little bigger, but it is the size the measurements reflected. It does the job and washes up well.

Rada used to make this fork in a smaller size which was my favorite, but this one is not Too large and I much prefer this over the larger (like 10" and over) ones. Rada utensils ARE dishwasher safe - BUT the finish on the handle will not stay shiney.

I make seitan roasts pretty often and this carving fork works very well to hold the seitan roast in place while slicing. However, the fork may tear easily through the seitan if you start as soon as the seitan is finished cooking and don't let it cool a little bit first. At least when steaming them, which is what I do. That is no biggy and not a problem with the fork (or the seitan). I'm really glad I got this carving fork. It also has a sturdy feel to it when holding the handle and the tips are sharp.
