My original Mazda screen had spider cracks in the corner, which is a common issue for Mazda infotainment centers. Dealership quoted me $1200 to fix. I did some research and decided to replace it myself for a fraction of the cost. I bought my first replacement screen on eBay and it was terrible, it was totally gray and couldn’t see anything! I bought this to replace it. It’s much better, you can actually see the screen now. Major con - when it faces the sun it is gray. When the car is turned off and facing the sun it looks strange, just flat gray. When the car is on, you can still read the screen but it’s faded a bit. Apple CarPlay doesn’t look too bad. When it’s not facing the sun everything is great! It looks like the original screen, no glare, good contrast levels. Still a responsive touch screen. Not sure why the sun causes such an issue. Otherwise it’s a great replacement item and does the job as planned.
