This is the original rainbow part for the E Series type 12 but they have the measurements listed wrong on the site, the correct measurements should be around 7 & 1/4 in H x 5 & 3/4 W.I was hesitant to order this but took a chance and it was the correct part and there is no comparison to the knock off filter they sale online, these are much heavier and also have the foam pad inside the outlet, well worth the extra money!

This is just what I was looking for. I have a rainbow my dad gave me. But it smelled like smoke due to him using it for work (he does fire restoration). I could never use it of how bad it smelled. Well, after cleaning the filter a few times and it not working, I decided to try getting a new filter. I never purchased nne before because at the time, they didn’t have these filters on Amazon, I had to purchase it from rainbow and I believe they charge a lot more for their items. I’m so glad I found it here. I paid $40 for what seems to be a genuine rainbow part. I compared it with the old one and they are identical. And now my rainbow vac is like new. I’m happy.

I ordered this filter when I discovered that a rainbow actually had a filter. My rainbow had lost suction and someone told me that there was a filter on it. Imagine my surprise I thought the water filtered everything not so this filter is essential this fit perfectly and totally resolved my suction issue, great value great function great fit
