I used this in a waterproof junction box on the outside of the building for terminating network cables alongside lightning protection. I used L brackets to mount it horizontally in the box and the whole setup worked out great. I’ll buy more of these for future networking installations I do.

My house has all of the Ethernet cables terminating in an old structured wiring box in the basement with about two dozen cables merely dangling in there, plugged into a switch > router. I wanted to clean everything up, but the box won't accommodate a 19" rack, so I bought these 10" patch panels, and mounted them to the back of the box using 3" standoffs (I put threads in the back of the box using rivet nuts), which gives me lots of room behind to access/manipulate the cables. I removed the Cat 6 passthoughs from the new patch panels and, after terminating each cable with a Cat 6 keystone, I placed them in the patch panels (I removed the cable supports since I didn't need them and there was no room for them). These panels are incredibly well made and even with the standoffs, don't flex at all. These are also incredibly difficult to find, so I am glad I was able to get them on Amazon. They have a very professional feel to them, from their design, construction, and packaging.

Just received it and tested all ports. All 12 negotiated gigabit speeds using a laptop and 1 end and a ubiquiti switch at the other end, with cat6 cables plugging into each keystone passthrough.
