These racks are heavy duty, and slide easily. They do need to be screwed into the shelf it's on in order to use it, especially if in an upper cupboard, which made it a little tricky for me. These are designed to be two tiers, however, I found the two shelves fit side by side on a shelf and hold as many spices as I have on a round turntable.

This is a nice-looking spice rack made of metal not plastic and has a rich looking black finish. The problem I have is it is too tall for my cabinet; the frame is a little over 9" tall and my cabinet shelfs are 8 1/2". The rack is nice and sturdy and the shelfs slides out smoothly. I am currently using it on the counter and love how I can keep all my spices together. The top shelf is adjustable with three screw holes I'm currently using the middle hole so the height with a 4 1/2" spice bottle is 12".

The shelf is solid, but I did not realize it needed to be screwed into the cabinet. I rent so I try not to screw into the cabinets and other things. The only other downside it that the bottom shelf is on the shorter side so you cannot put the larger jars in it. You can only put them in the top if you have clearance. I was really hoping to be able to use this in my cabinets because I am always shifting things around and this would have resolved that issue for me. It is a solid shelf though and when I buy something (hopefully soon) I plan to make sure I can use this.

If you're anything like our family is, we had about 30 (at least) various spice, salts, hot sauce, seasonings, etc. Random lids from bottles gone by or looking for their 'hats'. Somehow you kind of know where everything is ...in general. Do yourself a huge favor, especially if you can't fit a lazy suzan in there. This will hold about 20 regular size spice bottles like Garlic Powder comes in. There's various sizes depending on how much you need. WE had it inside with the sliding tray but turned out our cabinet is just little to high up for our 12 year old aspiring chef. We put it right on the counter in the back next to the oven and works great there too, everything stays organized and uniformly lined up. Not only declutter but also organize. Great addition to our kitchen.
