My bar came today and I washed a mess of dishes this afternoon with it. At first, I thought the box smelled super strong. Oddly, though, it actually wasn't as strong once I opened it. The scent was pleasant - very much like rosemary eo but not headache-inducing (as I first feared).I expected it to not get all sudsy and instead be more like old-fashioned dishwater (like a bluish-gray "cloudy" looking water). It was as expected in that regard and that's fine with me. Suds look and feel nice but aren't really what does the cleaning. I lathered the bar a little in the water and put some on my washrag. Didn't take much.I suspect that it softened up my hard water, being more a soap than the detergents commonly used these days. It felt like things were coming cleaner easier and I was better able to scrub out the hard water spots some dishes seem to hold on to.It's only Day 1 but, so far, I'm loving my dish bar! We'll see how long it lasts compared to the liquid I was buying and guesstimate affordability in the long term. Love this is plastic-free, so I'll likely keep buying it anyway (eco-friendly aspect being counted as its own part of the savings, as I see it).If you're on the fence, it is worth giving a try.

I wanted to cut back on plastic use, however this has one flaw. It's a bar. Lol I know that's obvious but using it with dirty dishes and certain brushes isn't ideal. Took some getting used to and the spong provided I just use as something to put the soap on. I almost wish the soap bar came with a spong it could be inserted to so I could start scrubbing right away. Other than that I like using this product.

So far we have purchased our second bar and no issues. I do like the fact it comes with a little loofa so no need to spend extra money purchasing a sponge. Be that as it may, dish soap is still cheaper and when it comes to cost versus sustainability it’s hard to lean towards sustainability.Soap does the job though. No residue. No waxy feeling. Dishes come out clean. If the price was a little less it would make purchasing the soap more worth it.

I was very excited for a dish soap with a smaller carbon footprint. The box it came in was compostable and the product itself was supposed to last longer than liquid. Though this can get your dishes clean it takes a lot of product. I tried going from bar to scrub brush then directly to dishes. This made me feel like I was going through the product very quickly and caused me to waste more water because it was constantly running. So I switched to lathering soap under running water to fill my sink and then doing my dishes. Doing it this way the soap did not lather properly just made cloudy water which I could get past if it's still cut through the grease on my dishes. This was not the case. I would have to go and rewash dishes two or three times to make sure everything came off soaking your dishes was completely pointless and any glass comes out cloudy. This is not from letting my dishes sit either I do my dishes everyday after dinner The longest a dish sits is maybe 9 or 10 hours from breakfast while I'm at work.

I’ve used it for over two months now and it’s still going strong! Some people said it’s hollow in the middle but I think they must have left water on top of it or in a place where it could get wet/stay wet. I put it in a cute little bowl next to my sink so that it’s easy to grab but it can dry out when not in use. I now subscribe and save to it so I don’t have to worry about ever running out! Even my husband likes it! (And we have quite a few hand wash only items including all of our pots and pans) I recommend getting your sponge or scrubby wet in hot water when you start so it will lather because it will not lather immediately after it’s dry, just like a bar of soap in the shower. But waiting three seconds for hot water is a simple change of habit for something that is good for the environment, clean to use, doesn’t leave residue, and cleans grease incredibly well! Oh! And I love the gentle scent and the fact that it is cute on the side of my sink rather than a big bottle!
