I've got three if these in use. Easy to set up, good range, good sound quality. If you're looking for something to replace the wireless bands that are no longer allowed this would be worth the investment. Just make sure you buy transmitters in the same band as the receiver.

If you know this is the one you want, then you know that it works. Shure, it works. Make sure you use a legal frequency (dadgum guv'mint), make sure you match the transmitter and receivers. I got them both from Amazon.

My experience with this unit has been largely good, but it does drop out from time to time. I used it in a large room for a school auction, and as it got more and more crowded, I found that I had to move the receiver up to high ground so the auctioneer could roam the whole room. While I am keeping this unit because it sets up quickly and is mostly reliable, next time I will save up and spend the big bucks for a better quality system.Things I like:- Quick setup- No static or interference- Great sound- Nice scanning featuresThings I don't like:- All plastic- Dropouts do happen under the right conditions- The mics available are also plastic and feel flimsy to me (I stepped up and got the SM58's thinking they would be metal, but they are not.- External power supply- So light that it doesn't stay planted to the ground - any non-level surface and you have to watch it - it will fall.

I recently discovered that you can use a combination of a body backs plugged into a monitor channel and multiple receivers to create outboard or remote speakers. In fact, one body back can transmit to multiple receivers. Of course if you already have multiple microphones then you need some additional receivers. That's where this unit comes in. It takes up a little less table space and powers two receivers off of one power supply. I tested it in a 3 hour show with two mikes and no difficulties at all. Just make sure your microphones and this receiver cover the same frequency range?
