Length isnt a problem cause u can choose what size ya want it and it has good reach. The net is cup shaped which shrimp easily get scooper unlike a regular net that freaks them out? not sure why. Can get greedy too and scoop more without them coming out of the net. White fabric makes it easy to see even the clearest shrimp and small shrimp too. Definitely a must have for shrimp keepin.

The extendable handle is nice, and the stainless steel build feels sturdy, but this net isn’t ideal for shrimp. The netting is too soft, and shrimp tend to get tangled in it, making it tricky to use without stressing them out. It’s decent for scooping small fish or debris, but if you’re buying it specifically for shrimp, you might want to look for something with finer, more rigid netting. 3 stars for build quality but not great for its intended purpose.

I've ordered these multiple times. They are excellent for Neocaridina shrimp and also super useful at catching baby guppies that I want to separate from the adults to ensure their survival.

Been using them for the last few months and the mesh is tight enough that sometimes even air has a hard time escaping it. The material is stiff enough too, that I get the mouth of the net near my shrimp and often they just swim in. Because of that, it's a bit hard to get around the hardscape with this net, but not enough for me to drop it down a star.
