So small, you'll hardly notice it's there. setup was "literally" Plug, snap and Play.Packaging was concise, no excess material used. connecting via the Reolink Android App and Windows Client was quick and easy as the Quick guide and YouTube video said it would. My only little wish was for a longer ethernet cable in the box.

The only thing I didn't like was that I ran into an issue where the battery camera wouldn't work, because it needed a firmware update. I clicked to search for an update in the app, but it said it was the latest firmware. Without the firmware, the camera becomes inaccessible and I had to do a reset of the camera and set it up as a stand alone. The solution was to manually get the firmware pushed to each of my devices. After that, everything has been working great.Pros:-Setup was easy and simple to get all of my existing cameras connected to the hub without having to go to each of my cameras. I was able to transition them easily without having to leave my seat, with the exception of the battery cameras that needed that firmware.-It's easy to transition back and forth between the Hub's wifi network and the regular wifi network.-The hub broadcasts 2 wifi signals (2ghz/5ghz) that the cameras can connect to. What I really love is that the cameras don't need to be connected to the Home Hub's wifi in order to work. As long as the Home Hub and the wifi camera are on the same local-area network, the camera is able to store videos onto the hub.-The connection and live view is very fast. Usually, retrieving a saved video is very slow when trying to connect to the camera. However, since the videos are saved on the hub, it's very fast to be able to view and download. Live streaming has been very reliable as well and I haven't had an issue with disconnections.-There's support for live viewing from a local browser which includes HTTPS. I'm able to type in the local IP address of the Hub into my browser and watch a live view of the cameras or view playback. The only thing is that I can only watch 1 camera stream at a time.-The Hub supports encryption of the video files. I setup a feature where all of the videos on the hub are encrypted with a password. This is a really nice feature, because if the microsd cards ever get stolen then I'll know they're secure.Overall, I'm very happy with the features and reliability of the Home Hub. Great value for the money. That issue of having to manually get the firmware pushed to each of my battery cameras was the only issue I had. Afterwards, it's been working great. My other Reolink cameras that run on POE and plug-in WiFi were able to setup with the Home Hub without issues. I did use both of the microsd slots, one of them being a 512gb, and it's been working fine even with 24/7 recording from a few different cameras.

When it comes to home security, having a reliable and centralized system is essential. After testing the Reolink Home Hub, I found it to be a convenient all-in-one solution for managing and storing security footage from Reolink cameras. With features like expandable storage, high-definition live view, and strong privacy protection, it offers great value for those looking to enhance their home security setup. The Reolink Home Hub has a compact and sleek design that blends easily with home office or living room setups. The lightweight plastic construction is sturdy, and the simple interface makes installation a breeze. The front panel includes a power button, while the back features two SD card slots, a LAN port, and a power input.Setting it up was incredibly easy—I had it up and running in under 15 minutes. I connected it to my router, followed the instructions in the Reolink app, and instantly had access to my cameras. The biggest advantage of the Home Hub is its ability to manage multiple Reolink cameras in one place. I currently have 4 cameras connected, and the hub can support up to eight. It works seamlessly with Reolink's PoE, battery-powered, and video doorbell cameras (except 4G models). One standout feature is the built-in 64GB SD card, which can be expanded up to 1TB using two 512GB SD cards. Unlike cloud-based security systems, the Home Hub stores recordings locally, eliminating the need for expensive subscription fees. This is a major plus for those who prefer offline storage and want control over their footage.Even if the network goes down, the hub continues recording, ensuring no lost footage. The ability to quickly retrieve videos is another great feature—footage loads significantly faster from the hub compared to pulling data directly from a camera's SD card. The live view and playback experience is impressive. The Reolink app allows for smooth 4K streaming with minimal latency. Checking security footage from my phone or desktop is quick and efficient, making it easy to monitor activity around my home. The alarm system is another great addition. When motion is detected, the hub sends instant notifications to my phone and can trigger a built-in siren for added security.Privacy is also a key focus. The Home Hub features AES128 encryption, meaning even if someone steals the hub, the recordings remain protected. Files cannot be accessed or recovered without authorization, which is a major security advantage over traditional storage methods.Pros:+Easy to set up and manage with the Reolink app+Supports multiple cameras (up to 8 devices)+Local storage with up to 1TB capacity+Fast video playback & 4K streaming+No monthly subscription fees+Strong privacy protection with encryption+Built-in siren for security alertsCons:-Not compatible with all Reolink cameras (e.g., Argus Pro & 4G models)-Storage is limited to SD cards—no HDD support-Must use the hub to access camera recordings (previous standalone setup may not work)If you’re already using Reolink cameras and want an affordable, no-subscription solution for centralized security management, the Reolink Home Hub is an excellent choice. It’s easy to set up, supports multiple cameras, and provides secure local storage without relying on cloud services. While it does have some compatibility limitations and storage constraints, it delivers great value for those looking to upgrade their home security system. I think this hub it’s a worthwhile investment for peace of mind and data privacy.

The Reolink Home Hub is a feature-rich device that allows you to quickly and easily setup a home security system with up to 8 high quality cameras. With WiFi built into the Home Hub, you can even run a security camera setup without a WiFi router or internet!Likes:- All-in-one design that is compact, lightweight, and easy to deploy- Supports Reolink WiFi cameras with 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and Wifi6 connections built-in. No need to an external router and modem.- Built-in WiFi can be turned off in the Home Hub if you have better coverage with your home network- Supports PoE, battery operated, and other hardwired network cameras from Reolink- Complete system comes with a 64GB microSD card so you don't need to spend more to add one, unless you want more storage.- Centrally stores all camera recordings so they can be retrieved, and stay safe if a camera gets damaged or stolen- No spinning hard drives so it runs silently- Built-in chimes or sirens are customizable for different events like someone pressing the doorbell button, detecting a person or a package, and more! Volume and chime tones are adjustable, and can be set to be active at preset times of day, or up to 24/7!- One-touch scenes allow for quick adjustments to all of your cameras with home and away and disarmed modes. These one-touch settings can make adjustments for notifications, sirens, recordings, PTZ tracking and more, based on your needs.- One-touch event history can be filtered for doorbell ringing, motion, person, vehicle, animal, or package. You can select one, or multiple filters to narrow down and find your recordings quickly! You can even select start and end dates for your search.- Quick response times to view cameras remotely.- Functionality is not much different than the Reolink NVR, but for a lower price.- NO MONTHLY FEES!!!Dislikes:- I've had a few times when the playback of a recording will skip ahead while watching. This only happens infrequently and could be due to my internet connection, rather than a fault of the Home Hub. There is no way for me to reliably tell the source of the fault, but I thought it should be mentioned. My upload speeds at home are only 10 Mbps and the place where this playback glitch happened is notorious for poor download speeds as well.Overall, the Reolink Home Hub is another solid product from the Reolink brand! I have had phenomenal success with the quality and reliability of my Reolink cameras, NVR, and now the Home Hub. I would highly recommend the Home Hub, and any other Reolink product I've tried as they all perform extremely well for a very reasonable price!Highly recommended!
