All of my ThermoWorks Pro probes had gone bad, and I wanted something to use in the short term, so I bought a pair of these. First thing, I plugged them into a Chef Alarm with brand new batteries and stuck them in a glass of Ice water. Both got down to exactly 32° F. Then I placed them in a pot of boiling water whose temperature I verified with a ThermaPen. Neither Probe got up to 212° F. Both bounced around between about 208.3° and 209.7° F. I've been told that a food thermometer which is ±5° F is "within tolerance" so I'll gladly use these, but be aware that they are off a little.

I suppose these probes are OK for the price. However, when testing 2 probes simultaneously with boiling water they were reading 207/208 degrees Fahrenheit at a rolling boil (should be 212F). They varied in temperatures between 1-3 degrees, so they are somewhat consistent at least.

My husband needed to replace a couple of his probes and they work great. No issues yet. Been a couple months since purchase.

Works with ThermoWorks Smoke, I suspect it will work with others, at about a third the ThermoWorks price. I tested it through a range of temperatures; 40F through 400F.

Not a reflection on this product but someone recommended it for the Ninja XL Grill and AirFryer and it does not work as a replacement. If you happen to find one, let me know. Still searching.
