Easy to put together, just the right size.

I was looking for a cute little vanity makeup chair for my bathroom, and this fit perfectly in the spot! It was super easy to put together, and it can also hold my husbands weight too when he needs to sit down to shine his shoes. The durability of this product is great, and affordable. 🙂

This is a review for ATSNOW Black Faux Leather Footstool, 12 in Padded Square Foot Rest with Metal X-LegsI ordered this after looking around for a footrest I needed for a chair in a small bedroom, with limited space in front of it. This size works well for me, it fits where I need it and it's lightweight enough to easily pickup or slide out of the way. But for clarity, this is a small footstool, it's not an "ottoman". This stool has a 250 pound weight capacity and is about 12 inches tall and wide, and a little over 15 inches long. It will work fine as a footrest for most people, unless you have large legs/feet. I added a picture of my feet resting on it. I'm very short, well under 5 feet, and wear women's size 6.5 shoes.This stool comes disassembled. Without any issues like I had (see below) it should be an easy, 15 minute assembly. The legs are metal, with a decent weight to them, and the X base design assures it shouldn't tip easily. I ordered the black and the finish is pretty clean, no scratches or big unsightly welding marks. All you need to assemble this is a little allen wrench and they include the wrench along with a diagram for instruction, just connect the legs together then bolt them to the pad.The top of the footrest is padded well enough for feet. I've sat on it too and it's not too bad on the tush either! The fabric over the padding is a faux leather, decent quality and not too shiny. It has a nice button tufted design that seems well done. And the legs of the stool are capped off with small, rounded plastic feet.I had a quality issue when assembling the stool that caused me to removed a star from the rating. There are 4 plastic hubs at the top of the metal X legs. These 4 "pipe stoppers" are supposed to fit like a plug into the end of the pipe. These end up facing outward at the corners of your stool when it's fully assembled. All 4 of mine were deformed or scuffed up and not properly installed by the manufacturer. I'm assuming they use a mallet to pound them in and I think that may be overkill for these small plastic parts. 3 of mine were partially crushed like an accordion and hanging out of the pipe, as if they were off center but hammered in anyways and it crushed the plastic. I had to wrench them completely out, line them up correctly then wiggled them flush into the pipe. Then I just hit them with the heal of my hand to pop them completely into place. Two were so crushed they're permanently crooked and 3 of them have been scuffed up enough to be noticable. I colored those in with a black sharpie, it was an easy fix but it made for a frustrating assembly until I realized I could correct it. I would of rather them just include the stoppers with the bag of hardware and had the buyer push them in themselves than have them jammed halfway in and cockeyed. Fortunately, they sit under the corners of the pad so while you can see them they weren't terribly noticable once I colored them in. For the price though, I expected better quality and better quality control.Overall I'm pretty happy with this footstool. It's a decent quality and comfortable but not quite a 5 star product due to the issue with the plastic stoppers.

Purchased this item to fit under my desk. I watch a lot of programming and entertainment directly on my office PC where I spend most of my time. I thought it would be nice to have an ottoman under the desk but most foot rests are too big to fit.This is a small ottoman that fit under just about any office desk. The cushion of the Ottoman only rises to a few inches shorter than the seat of my desk chair and it’s just about the perfect height. I like the height of the Ottoman. It’s tall enough for me to put my feet on, but not too tall, my feet don’t touch the underside of my desk.The foot rest was easy to assemble. There were only about 10 screws to install and all of the screws went in real easily. They even included the tool so I didn’t have to find an Allen wrench.The cushion only has about an inch of padding on it, and the padding is fairly dense. The leather like material is soft to the touch and feels like real leather. This is the only situation where I've found the item to be uncomfortable though. The buttons on the top are really uncomfortable, the cushion doesn't give enough for the buttons to conform with your sitting position, and they can be very uncomfortable. Also, the buttons always seem to be in the wrong place and I have to re-adjust my sitting until I find a comfortable position aside from a button. Weird design, the buttons should be removed entirely.I purchased the black ottoman, which is a black weather like material and has a matte finish. I think the style was really nice and I wouldn’t look good in just about any office.The stool is rated for 200 pounds so if you’re just using it as a foot rest, you should be fine. I would say it’s a very sturdy stool and would probably support most people’s weight even to sit on it.The frame for the stool is made out of a solid, steel, hollow framing That is very sturdy and the brackets for the cushion are welded very well to the frame. I just feel that the frame is made with quality in mind and as a quality that you will appreciate when you purchase the item.Overall, I think that the Ottoman is very comfortable and it allows me to put my feet up when I need to take a break at my desk. I think that this item is good for offices or any space that you can use a small footstool or even near your bedside to assist in dressing. I also think that this would be a nice item for vanity as it is an appropriate height for trimming toenails or even painting your toes. The item is high-quality and should last you a long time with appropriate care.Highly suggested item.

We have an office chair with a retractable foot rest which we find it too low to comfortably stretch legs. We were hoping this stool would correct it.As it turns out, 12 inches is still too low for comfort. So we added a 4-6 inch cushion on top of it and now it works perfectly.The stool is well made and comes with everything needed for assembly. The pieces were well protected with foam or paper wrap. The instructions were clear and good and all pieces fit well. The velvet and foam piece underneath are nice and soft. Stability is good as well. Just wish it was taller than the 12 inches.
