As someone said before. Take out bad board, install new board.Rheem RGEA14030AJD081AAThe heat on the HVAC wasn't working. I was randomly getting both High Limit Switch protection errors and Flame Roll out switch open errors. Status light flashing 3 and 5, depending on error. When it did this it caused the gas to shut off but the fan to run, the unit thought my heater was overheating and the fan would run to cool it.I verified that both thermo switches were closed and I should not have been getting these errors. The only other explanation was the Control Board was bad, when I pressed on the 9 pin connector (where the thermo switch wires go)I would occasionally get the errors to go away and the gas would flow again. I suspect a bad solder joint or connection on the old board but I didnt see it when I removed it.Old board was marked:1068-311 1443 62-23599-04This one worked perfecty for it. One minor difference on the L1/R1 connection, my old board had an extra spade, but nothing connected to it so it didn’t matter.I unplugged the wires one at a time and plug it in the same position in the new board. Powered up the HVAC, and I have gas flow, ignition, and heat again. Installation was maybe 10 minutes.This heater seems complex but it is easy. It was far cheaper than calling out a HVAC tech

My board was a 1068-311 62-23599-04, and this one worked perfectly for it. I simply unplug the wires one at a time and plug it in the same position in the new board. Powered up the HVAC, and ta-da if have heat again. Considering what a HVAC Tech would have charged to resolve this and for the circuit board, I was willing to gamble and risk the $165 and do it myself. Oh...and the board was here in two days.

Swapped out a fried board. Hold both side by side and swap over to new, then bolt up. Works great. No issues.

I have an older unit and my part number was 62-23599-01. This was a direct replacement for my particular unit and my heat is now up and running again. My main symptom was the heater would ignite but would shut down after only a couple minutes. I checked all the wiring for loose wires, but all was good. What I did find, and what convinced me that it was the control board was I could gently tap the board with a screwdriver handle (with power off), then when I turned it back on it would work for a few days... then go out again. Finally the tapping did not help. Replaced the board and all is good.Hope this helps!
