These cables are exactly the right length and have ends identical to the OEM cables. They went on quickly and feel like they'll last quite a long time. (first replacement on a '94 Chevy pickup).

The product cable was not as strong as the last ones I purchased yet one of those only lasted for three years. The failure of any one of these products is the flexibility of the cable and its plastic coating. Once the plastic coating is cracked water is then allowed into the cable and corrosions (rust) causes it to fail. The cables on this product seem more flexible.

its a little smaller diameter then the original , but it does hold the tailgate, I don't know how much load it will hold on the tailgate.
