Fits well in my 01 Silverado. But the inner casing of the glovebox that has to be removed to change is riveted, and not easily removable. But that’s a GM problem and not this product. Works as it should!

Drill out 2ea rivets in the glovebox door hinge and 3ea screws securing it to the dash, so you can take the door/hinge inside where it can be easier to work on. When drilling out rivets start with a 1/8" bit as pilot to keep the following 3/16" hole centered in the rivet head, or it can walk to the edge of the head and into the plastic making the hole too big for a replacement rivet. Once the head is removed you can use a punch to knock out the remaining part of the rivet into the door inner cavity. Remove the inner cover. Then use a 3/8" drill in an inside corner of door that won't be seen once installed to facilitate removal of the loose rivets in the cavity by maneuvering it back and forth with vacuum hose over 3/8" hole, and a little patience, to get the remaining portion of rivets out of cavity to reduce rattles. Drill slowly being careful not to drill too deep and drill through outer door. A bit tricky to insert the connecting rod into new lever and maneuvering the latch through the door opening from the inside, but it can be done without breaking the new latch. Re-use the stock black screws into the latch. Locate the inner cover by inserting rivets into all of the holes before popping any so they will be certain of all fitting.
