For any roast--shoulder, ribs, whole chicken, etc.--this product is an excellent pan liner, so the juices and char don't accumulate into an unscrubbable mess over the course of 2, 3, 4, or 5 hours. Tough enough so a little agitation won't tear it and leak grease onto the underlying pan (I often use my 17-inch paellera), although if using a small steel rack, it's a good idea to place a sheet of smaller, conventional foil under that, to minimize the stress from the wire supports.Also good as a sheet to cover the roast, during the period you want to retard evaporation and obstruct char--because of its large size.I can't find it at Safeway anymore, so I get it from Amazon.

Any time I use the oven or broiler, I line the pan with Renolds Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil. Haven’t had to scrub a dish in decades!

I used this to wrap my meats for smoking. It’s heavy duty and doesn’t puncture easily so works great for using or capturing broth and fats
