I carry them in my purse. I dislike paper straws or when straws aren't available. I love these.

En general buen productoUn poco cortoLo que me molestó es que en las fotos de publicidad se aprecia la imagen de un cepillo para limpiar los popotes,lo cual me hizo suponer que lo incluía...no fue así y es problemático limpiarlos bien

Brilliant product, Stainless steel, so virtually unbreakable, non toxic (not plastic etc...) & not made from waxed paper so will not go soggy. I read one review which said some people may find the hard metal in their mouth a little difficult to get used to, but I have had no problem with this (no different to using metal cutlery !). The price is very reasonable and they even come postage free. Additionally they look very 'classy'

The product is of good quality and we use it a lot. The only thing missing is a cleaning brush.

I like using straws. I think they are a good invention and helps keep the mess to a minimal when drinking from a cup. However, no matter how hard I try, I always forget to save my used straws. I even went to the local grocery store to buy a large pack of them but I guess I got a cheap brand because many of them had small cracks in the plastic. Anyone who's used straws before knows that any kind of crack/hole in a straw pretty much makes it useless. So doing a quick Google search on "cool straws", stainless steel straws came up as one of them. I came to Amazon.com and typed in the phrase "stainless steel straws" and got several results. Ultimately though, I chose this particular one because I liked the fact that it had etches that resembled the straws that flex and bend at one end. All other SS straws on Amazon where just a polished/curved metal pipe. I'm a sucker for aesthetically pleasing features.I've used these straws multiple times since receiving them and can vouch that they work as well (if not better than plastic straws). One of the things I do miss is being able to chew on a straw. That was just a habit of mine with the plastic ones and I've caught myself trying to chew on these from time to time, only to wince in pain from chewing on a hard piece of metal.A cool feature of the straw is that when drinking hot (or cold) drinks, the temperature of the drink flows through the straw and heats it up to the same temperature. It has a cool sensation as the liquid flows to your lips and if it's a cold drink, you get to see frost build up on the outside of the straw.Cleaning is very easy. After I use each straw, I just run it under hot tap water and let the water flow through it for a couple seconds. On the box, it says that these are dishwasher safe but may be cleaned with a pipe brush for extensive cleaning. For those wondering what those are, you can find them in the baby isle of your favorite store as "sippy cup cleaners". It's essentially a spiral brush on a long piece of plastic or wire.Aside from all that, I'm glad I own these. Not only do they look cool, but they never go bad and you never have to throw them away. I'm being hip & environmentally conscious at the same time.
