This review is for the Runcati Mens Trench Coat Notch Lapel Double Breasted Casual Pea Coat Winter Warm Long Overcoat in large in navy. I ordered this for my son and he absolutely loves it. It fits him well, keeps him warm and is very flattering on him. This is a really nice coat for being under $40. Of course it isn't the same as an actual wool dress coat, but this is a very good budget piece. I would definitely recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised on the color and look of the coat at first glance, but after wearing it a few times I can safely say it is about average quality in fit, finish, and material. The coat is on the thin side and feels every bit of it as well. It's not going to keep your warm on a snowy day so layers are a must. One of my buttons was loose on arrival so that was a telltale sign that the quality was hit or miss. It does look better than I hoped with the color, but the fabric is a bit wrinkly so there's that.7/10 I would recommend it. I hope this review is helpful.

Y'all should keep in mind that this is a budget-priced trench coat or pea coat (I won't quibble on the distinctions here), and will therefore not show the same quality or attention to detail as a pure wool, brand-name, beautifully tailored trench coat that costs ten times as much or more. It would be ridiculous to expect that it would. I'm rating it on value for money, based on the combination of price, quality, looks, and performance. With that in mind, my experience with this trench coat has been overwhelmingly positive, and I do rate it as excellent value for money. I had to steam out some of the wrinkles from the packaging, there were some loose threads to be snipped, and the collar needed to be "retrained" after shipping to fold and sit the way it's supposed to. Those are all small, fixable issues that took 15 minutes to resolve. The fabric feels man-made, for sure, because it is, but once you have the coat on, you feel only the lining (the coat is fully lined, which is nice). My wife says the overall impression is a bit "Capt. von Trapp," and yes it does have a certain Austrian early 20th-century military vibe to it. But I like that look--not a drawback at all in my book. The only design feature I didn't care for was that the exterior side pockets are placed up quite high, so they're not really for putting your hands in while wearing the coat. But the two larger pockets are functional pockets, and not merely decorative flaps (as on some trenches). The second, smaller flap on the left side is decorative. And there's no question the coat will keep you warm.I probably wouldn't wear it somewhere extra special--I have other coats for those occasions. But I'll happily wear this to work, or church, or a play.
