I actually really love these pants. I wore it to my family En Blanc dinner back in June. The pants does take some time when ironing/steaming and can just get re-wrinkled again. I’m on the thicker side…..and i went up a size…..i just ordered an XL and they fit perfectly.As others mentioned the only negative is there are no pockets 😫 it would make these pants so much better. Definitely going to order another pair in a different color.

So this is the first pair of "harem pants" that I have owned that appear to be cut as a true "dhoti." This means that there is no actual pant cuff - the cut and tailoring of the material is cut such that, as you slide them on, they wrap around your legs and the result is something that looks like baggy pants. The engineering behind this is really interesting.The material is soft enough (other reviewers has called them stiff but I don't find them to be so) and it has a natural baggy/wrinkly look which some will dislike through it doesn't bother me.The one thing I strongly dislike about these is the absence of pockets. I' not sure if the weight that would come with pockets (and the items that would be placed there) would make the garment not work as well, but not having pockets takes it from something I would wear in most situations to something I can only really wear if I'm hanging out in the yard, the house or doing Tai Chi in the park (which combined only represent about 10% of my life.

According to the photos when I placed the order, I thought these would be a bit roomy in the legs so to speak, but I never expected them to look like the pants the Genie of the Lamp would wear or that they would have a slit in both legs. Very weird pants, but I guess some people will love them.

I've worn baggy harem-like pants for years...many years, and I'd say that the baggy harem-looking pants are just an "I wish I was a dhoti." There is a lot of fabric in these pants, a lightweight muslin cotton cloth, and they appear to be well-stitched. I did wash them in cool water and hung them to dry, just to see if they would shrink. They didn't shrink one bit. If you care about wrinkles, then I'd suggest a light ironing, but if you're like me, the fabric is conducive to the wrinkled gauzy look, so I just smoothed them out with my hands and smiled. There are no pockets though, so the cell phone will have to go somewhere else....
