This sending unit and gauge is a great value for the cost. I have had a couple occasions where it appears the float sticks a bit, but my boat is also 40 years old so I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s some debris in the tank clogging it up a touch. Super easy to install, the back lighting variety allowed me to match the green theme I have in the boat. Would buy again.

Replaced the fuel sensor and gauge in my boat with this one. Looks and works perfectly.

Gauge: Some good features including a well damped needle, multiple backlight color options and can be used with most common resistance ranges. Unfortunately, the mounting flange is only a very tiny bit wider than the body. You must be VERY precise in drilling the mounting hole.Sender: The resistance changes are not consistent as the float rises. The first change is about 100 of the 240 ohms. That means that the gauge will read about 1/4 full and as soon as a little gas is used it will read empty. That is absolutely not helpful. I need the gauge to work precisely near the bottom of the tank way more than at the top. My best guess about why it is designed that way is laziness and cost. They make many different lengths which means a different number of resistors. Each length should use its own resistance value. Instead, they mostly use resistors at lower than optimum value in all of them and then make up the difference for each length in the last resistor. Repeat, that's just my guess. I have tried one other brand of reed switch sender and it had the same problem, but to a slightly lesser degree.Instructions: There is no way that they were written by someone who speaks English as their primary language. They are also incomplete in that they tell you that you need to select the resistance range and how to get into that mode and how to scroll through the options but they don't tell you how to actually make the selection. The diagram is correct but, who in their right mine would label pins on a straight connector in the order of 3, 2, 4, 1?I got through it all but I probably have more familiarity with this stuff than most people.
