I let the kids use my Ryobi sander and they wore a groove right down the center. Now it eats up my pads in that spot first so I have to change them all the time. Plus the sander wouldn't spin properly to get the random pattern. Finally got tired of it and was on Amazon looking for a replacement sander. Was all ready to add the $90 Makita to my cart when I stumbled across these. How wonderful! Didn't realize such a thing existed. Now my faithful Ryobi will last forever! :)

I was so glad Amazon had this replacement item for my Craftsman sander. My old pad had rotted and was falling apart after 8 years. I installed the new pad and it is a perfect fit. Good grip on my sandpaper to. Great price on 2 replacement pads. I now have a spare for when the other wears out.

I bought these and fitted them to a different samder with some modifications. They are nice for the price. No issues so far and I've been using them for a while.

My Ryobi RS281VS originally came with a non-hook and loop pad. I remember applying a self-adhesive hook and loop interface to the smooth pad surface shortly after buying it so I could use the sandpaper I wanted. I don't remember if this came with the sander or if I bought it separately. This piece has been failing over time, but I got many years of use from it, so I'm not complaining.Of course I wanted to continue to use the sander and have the paper held firmly, so I ordered this pair which is priced about the same as one pad from the store. It's simple to install, just requiring removal of four screws that are then used to hold down the new pad. I was back in business in no time. I'm keeping the second new pad with my sandpaper in the hopes that I won't lose it before the first one wears out!
