Okay I was skeptical this wouldn’t be good for a simple light weight cup. I thought maybe it require some weight to keep the wooden trivets down but I can easily place a lightweight glass cup on it empty and it won’t push it off. Easy to use and it is thick! I thought maybe this wouldn’t actually shield the heat from our wooden table or granite counters but even when I set my Dutch oven on top of one it doesn’t affect the surface. The wooden thing doesn’t even get crazy hot either as we had to transfer the Dutch oven over to the table and the wooden thing was bearable to grab. I am also Mexican and can easily grab many hot things as my hands are often used as tongs for food items but my husband said it was bearable too. The stand came in two pieces and it was simple toJust screw in the middle rod into the flat base. It looks so beautiful when it’s holding the hot plate things. When it’s together it really does look like a cute tree on your table or counter. Aesthetically pleasing and it goes with our gray millennial look going on in our house. Honestly I don’t see how this wouldn’t work with any interior design from rustic, modern, elegant, and of course a country look.

The photo is a little deceiving as they sit lower on the post than this photo shows, but it makes it easier to move the entire set all at once. They do not lay flat until you put something on them. They work great to protect your countertops and tables. Look great and classy option than using cloth pot holders.
