I have purchased 4 pairs of loafers in the past year (please don't tell my husband), and these are the only ones I'm holding on to. I found some other brands to be too stiff and uncomfortable, and other styles made my feet look very small and disproportionate to my body. The Sam Edelman ones are very soft, and I wore them for many hours with no blisters. I think they look flattering and more expensive than they are.My only negative comment on fit was mentioned by some other reviewers who said that the shoe was a little wide in the heel. I stuck heel cushions in mine, which helped a little, but I still occasionally experience the shoe slipping off my heel.

These flats give a solid full coverage of the feet. They hug the entire foot.I went a 1/2 size down with my first purchase. It took a few wears to break them in, a bit tight to begin with but the leather has adjusted and the shoe fits perfectly.I went a with my usual size 9 for my second purchase. Of course I did not have to break them in as the were just perfect.As the leather softens with wear they are somewhat easier/less tight but still very comfortable.

I have been thinking about getting the Gucci Brixton loafers but can't justify spending that much money on my first pair of loafers. After some online research I saw how popular the Loraine loafers were as a dupe, while still being good quality. I am usually a 7.5 and the reviews online were inconsistent about whether these run small, big or TTS so I ordered the 7s and 7.5s to try. FWIW, I'm 8 in Ferragamos, 38 in Valentino and 7.5 in Cole Haan. The 7s fit best for me depsite being snug (knowing leather stretches), as my heels were slipping out of the 7.5s. For having only worn them around my house so far, they are comfortable out of the box and given the softness of the leather I'm hoping they don't need much breaking in.I was surprised to see that even though I ordered the same shoes in the same colourway (terazzo brown) from the same amazon listing at the same time the colours were noticeably different, as you can see in the photos. These photos were taken in natural midday sunlight so I believe they're an accurate depiction. The 7s are on the right in the warmer brown shade and the 7.5s on the left in the flatter brown shade. I don't know if this would be the same for all 7s vs. 7.5s or if I just happened to get shoes from different production runs or something like that.
