Lo he usado con una batería que se me ha descargado constantemente, se carga en una noche... como arrancador no lo he usado, lo tendré como opción de soporte

This is NOT a heavy-duty battery charger, so don't buy it expecting it to charge 18 wheeler truck batteries. For a medium size car battery, it is the ticket though and works a treat. Like many folks, I'm used to a charger with buttons, switches, and a meter on it. The charger this replaced had all of that. You know though, I can't say I miss it. Modern technology has changed and came a long way, resulting in microprocessors that optimize charging for us now - and that took me a minute to wrap my head around. This charger has NO buttons, NO readouts, nothing except a LED light that changes color depending on what the charger is trying to tell you. It's stupidly simple, and I like it like that honestly. The purpose of a battery charger is to.. Wait for it.. Charge a battery. It's nice to literally plug it in, hook it up, and let it do the thinking for you and do it's thing while you wait. When it's done, the LED will turn green. If you leave it plugged up, that's cool too, the instructions state the charger will kick over to a "maintenence / trickle" mode and not overcharge anything.I'm happy with it for what I paid, and hope it continues to serve my needs well.UPDATE: After nearly two years of use, this unit is still doing it's job and doing it well. I've used it several times to charge car batteries and my lawnmower battery after sitting all winter. I have not experienced any problems at all using this battery charger as intended. I would buy another one today if I needed to.

Me llego en esas condiciones (sello de garantía violado y desalineada tapa) y tengo la duda que sea un producto Nuevo

My nephew, a certified auto mechanic, told me it is not a good idea to charge up a dead battery by driving around for awhile. That puts too much stress on the alternator and electrical system. I have an older car that does not get driven much. Less than 100 miles per month, and often zero miles for a week or two. Keeping the battery charged is a problem. So, I asked him about the Schumacher SSC-1500A -- he said he has one, and it works well. Thanks to Amazon Prime, the unit arrived within 48 hours after ordering, free shipping.Just before my first use of the new SSC-1500A, the car would not start. The engine would turn over a few times and then stop. The SSC-1500A digital readout showed 41% charge. It took several hours to get to 100% -- and another few hours to see the green lite come on (indicating a fully charged battery.)I think there was an automatic de-sulfation cycle that may have run. After I saw the charge light was green, I then switched the unit from 10A to 2A -- it ran for another few hours before the green light came on again, for a total time of about 6 or 7 hours from beginning to end. It seems that switching the amperage mode will reset the program and restart the charge cycle. The next morning was very cold, and the engine started immediately.I understand there is a microprocessor and a firmware program in this device, so it is making some automated guesses on what to do and what charging cycles to run. For a stale battery I think it makes sense to run the program more than once on the first try to rejuvenate a weak battery. I anticipate that I will probably need to hook up the Schumacher SSC-1500A battery charger for a few hours every few months to top off the battery, and the charger will save on both wear-and-tear and on gas to recharge the battery. The instruction manual says to use 10A setting for normal car batteries, 15A for RV or Truck batteries.Yes, there is a fan in this device which runs continuously, even after the green lite comes on, so I would not leave this charger connected for more than 10-12 hours at a time. If this review gets any likes or comments, I will come back and update it in a few months with more comments.TL;DR? SSC-1500A works well, GRRREAT price/performance and nice features. Recommended.
