My old 70s table had a ball return that was a night mare. I did have to cut and modify the two middle pockets to fit. Only because my table was not originally a drop pocket table.

I am very happy with these replacement pockets. Installation was simple enough by folding the web pocket inward, then squeezing the circumference to a smaller diameter and sliding into position from the top down. Once installed, it was obvious that some trimming was necessary. I marked the cut lines with some masking tape and removed the pocket in the reserve of installation. Using my Dremel tool, I trimmed off the excess of about an inch on each side of the cup opening. I think a sharpe scissors would get through it fine, if you don’t have the Dremel. Reinstalled after the trimming and it did the job perfectly and appearance met expectations. I would recommend the product.
