These are quite hard when compared to a full foot fin. If they rub anywhere that will be a problem. They can only be used with the Mid sized SeaWind NovaPro blades. They DO NOT FIT the larger Maxi blades.That is a shame for folks that want the larger blade but have small feet.I will try the larger size.You'd think that they might mention the compatibility in the description.

This closed boot allows you to have the Supernova as "two fins for the price of one". You have an open heel boot, that came with the fin, for colder waters or for people who prefer to dive with a diving boot (neoprene, fabric, etc) and have a closed boot (this one) to wear with your naked feet (or very light coverings) in warmer waters.The best of both worlds is now in your hands with no need to compromise in making a choice on purchase (open or closed....you get both this way).If you have a Supernova and want the ultimate versatility.....get this.I got it and never looked back.Big plus: exchanging the boots (open or closed) is a breeze. You can do it easily by yourself and on the fly.100% satisfied.

I got the size recommended for my foot size. I have gorilla feet with a high instep and EEE width. I probably would have gone up a size if I knew.Another had issues with the foot pocket splitting. I had these stuffed and highly compressed in a carryon duffle pack for 3 weeks and 4 days of diving. No issues other than a little deformity in the foot pockets that did not affect diving.
