I had an old anchor opening on the deck of my boat with a loose cap with a line hole that let rain into the anchor compartment that eventually would find its way under the cabin floor. Removed the old cap and this fit right over the opening. A little sealant and a few screws and no more water.

Bought to cover smaller hole than cover's inner lip would fit in. Calk easily filled the approx. 1/16" void. Nice clean look. Textured surface. Would have preferred a cover with a flat back. Tough to find in th correct size for my job.

I bought two of these in hopes of removing two quickly-degrading speakers from our older hot tub, but not convinced they were the right solution. I'm happy to report that the specs in the listing photos are precise to the micrometer, and the screw holes matched up perfectly. After capping the speaker wires, I applied a generous bead of silicone caulk around the opening and screw holes, and then had plenty of screw-down strength from a few #6 flat head sheet metal screws.I know it's a marine product. But our hot tub speakers weren't doing anything but cutting people's legs. These things look great, and so will the skin of my family and friends as the weather cools off this fall. Great, simple product!

great product, inexpensive, durable and does exactly what it promises. I covered an old cut out from a speaker.
