Two fan speeds and infinite heat settings. Seems good when new.

Using on resin epoxy projects and tables and it is easy to concentrate heat where I need it. Suggested by another user on YouTube. Nice to use the stand while working. Only wish it had 3 speeds since going from low to higher sometimes is a bit too high blowing. I still would recommend it.

Well made, powerful, it feels good in your hand. Lots of different attachments to use (some attach easier than others).

I never really thought I would need a heat gun living in southern California. I've gone long without one--and for my very myopic view, it seemed like it was used primarily for things like heating frozen water pipes at home. Sunny San Diego doesn't seem to have that issue. However, as soon as I had to buy one to try my hand at repairing an extension cord (heat-shrunk and solder seal-wire connectors) due to a rabbit gone-wild, I had to research a good value. I wasn't sure if I would use it often, so I tried to go for a cheap one. Now that I have it, I honestly cannot see what the more expensive ones (say, the ones that cost over double this one) would provide. Moreover, I have actually started seeing things that I can use this at home. From screen protector and decal application to removing old paint on some furniture that I am restoring...this tool is becoming an important part of my toolkit--for less than $25!
