It's nice to have a quick placemat to throw down on the table to protect from some of the food spills. These mats are exactly as pictured. I got the bright orange, and the color was exactly like the pictures. The mats are 13" in diameter. The back side of the mats is white. The paper feels about the thickness of printer paper so it they will not provide any protection for your table from extreme temperatures or liquid spills since they are not waterproof. I like them for the splash of color and keeping food crumbs or sticky stuff from getting on the table.

We plan to host a rehearsal dinner in our rustic barn. Even though rustic is what is desired, we thought these paper placemats might step it up just a notch. They are a pretty shade of sage green. The size is just right for a regular-sized dinner plate. Somewhere in the online ad, it is mentioned that these are to be hand-washed. Not so. They are made out of thin paper and will not fare well with any kind of washing with water. They are very thin. The color is only on one side, and the back is white. I'm sure some creative folks could also use these for craft projects.

Got this for my moms birthday had to take them out of the country do they were good to take.

The placemats are exactly what I needed. The problem is that they were very poorly packed in an open plastic bag that was barely big enough to fit them so a lot of them have crinkled edges.
