I was so excited to receive this set until I opened the delivery package to find that the Shades of Magic collector's box and the individual books were damaged. The only thing that arrived in the state it should have was the map.The books are really special and I'm sure if they'd arrived in better condition I'd be ecstatic, but as it is I'm just so disappointed.

Zeer goeie kwaliteit en een leuke map erbij. Kan nog niks zeggen over de inhoud van het verhaal, maar de buitenkant is super!

I purchased these as a gift to myself, and the first box I ordered never arrived. I received a refund and later repurchased the boxed set, which did arrive but had been obviously mishandled in shipping and one of the books ended up with a crushed corner after puncturing through the outer case. Keeping because it took so incredibly long to arrive at all, but I’m pretty disappointed in its overall condition.As far as the content inside of the books though - V.E. Schwab has very quickly become my favorite author. Her storytelling is compelling, her characters are both likable and infuriating, the magic in this series is beautiful, and the world is fantastic. I have to keep reminding myself that I have other books in my TBR pile and can’t immediately go and reread Shades of Magic 13 times. I can’t recommend these books to enough people

I got this box set for 'Sinterklaas', a Dutch holiday. I adore the boxset, the colours are beautiful and the artwork is STUNNING. Absolutely STUNNING. I love V.E. Schwab's work, so I had to get the collector's box.Book 1 was my favourite in the trilogy! I really like all the characters and the storyline itself. Great fantasy reads.
