I have used Shimano fishing Rods since i was a kid, I always felt that they were the best bang for the buck and I felt like I was using high end equipment. Lately I have been using Shimano rods in the $50 - $100 range so when I ran across this one I thought there had to be something wrong with it. I can't believe they can sell this rod for $16 shipped! When it arrived I was surprised and very impressed with the quality, so much that I bought another one.

Best deal on a rod you can find. Cheaper than paying to replace the eyes on my rods. Packaging is awesome, I think this is my 5th rod.

Cheap, works great for most river panfish/bass and the occasional catfish.

Much better than the price would lead you to believe. It and an FX 2500 reel have a permanent place in my truck. Cheap enough to not worry about and good enough for that nice spot you might encounter.

Looked like it was a good rod but was no packing material in box and arrived broken!. Save your money and buy a better rod than this shimano junk!
