There used to be a character in the game 'Candyland' called 'Plumpy,' which my extended family learned during a Family Game night after my brother shared some trivia about The Chocolate Swamp not being the original name of that area of the Candyland board. No one could remember what it used to be called, so we asked Alexa who shared that it used to be The Molasses Swamp. Alexa then elaborated, sharing that the character 'Plumpy' was unceremoniously removed from the game in 2002 due to the belief that he promoted an unhealthy lifestyle. Not one of us had remembered Plumpy from our childhoods but upon hearing this, several of the adults laughed so hard at the name that they fell out of their chairs. So, of course, I decided to make ornaments for my family for Christmas: everyone gets one Plumpy and one Candyland kid because we are an immature bunch who never forgets when something funny happens.Note #1 - I bought the 'frosted' shrinky dinks, and I really wish that I had bought the 'crystal clear' ones. That's because I traced the outline of the characters, but I could only do it while holding everything up against a window on a very sunny day (otherwise, you can't see what you're trying to trace). If I had a light board, that would have made my life much easier. So: buy the crystal clear ones if you're tracing something!Note #2 - These shrink, alright. To be exact: they get about one-third smaller. The photos are the before & after, and in both pictures the characters are lying on a standard-size greeting card envelope. The colors really pop, too, after they've been shrunk.Note #3 - If you need a hole (say, for threading some fishing wire to make an ornament) then be sure to use an actual hole puncher and punch that hole BEFORE you bake/shrink these. As you can see from the photos, I botched the 'hole punch' part because I used kitchen knife. I had left space at the 'hand' area of the characters for a small hole, but all I did was slice/split the material. I thought that I could instead punch them after they've been shrunken/baked. I cannot - they're way too thick now. So now they're very tiny bookmarks.

Es divertido trabajar este plástico, tiene buena dureza al encoger, uso un horno eléctrico muy pequeño y sólo recomiendo precalentarlo, mis primeros dibujos no quedaron tan planos tenían leves ondulaciones, pero cuando precalenté el horno quedaron perfectos. Los niños se divierten mucho cuando ven los dibujos encogerse por la ventana del horno.

Product arrived exactly as described. These are the clear sheets which make it easier to trace BUT they scratch easily and the scratches show up even on the shrunk plastic. Not great for detailed shapes, would recommend using a Cricut if you want to make anything other than simple geometric cut or big curves. We used it to trace my son's favourite dino pictures and coloured them in with art markers and sealed them with embossing powder afterwards. Perfect for kindergarten level crafts but if you are making shrinky dink jewellery or charms would recommend getting the rough sided sheets or printable ones instead.

Increible, simplemente pon tu imaginación a volar.Algo importante a considerar es que aproximadamente un dibujo de 5cm al final después de hornear se reduce a la mitad pero aún así quedan increíbles

Works great with paint markers, Sharpie markers, chalk pastel and pencil crayon (when pre-scuffed with a nail file). I also found this brand of shrink plastic to work best if you want to shrink your images down by 50%: this one does that; other brands I've tried might shrink down about 60% to the original size.

THIS IS SOOOOO MUCH FUN. I am 27 years old and i had a blast. Haha. You need to draw the items at least 1/4th the size the sheet of paper to ensure they are a good size when shrunk. Make sure you dont draw anything too complicated to cut out, as the plastic has a big potential to crack if cut incorrectly. I used sharpies to color them in before shrinking. They turned out great but the colors did darken (intensify) a bit..so keep that in mind!! All in all these were very cool and i definitely want to keep playing around with them.

Llegó en excelente estado y lo he desquitado bastante, es una buena idea para algún regalo como el día de las madres o del padre, y sabiendo usarlas correctamente te salen muchas figuritas.

Es muy bueno pero algo caro en este momento (al momento de la compra 109 MXN), se reduce a 1/3 del tamaño original y el grosor termina siendo de aprox 3mm. Los colores son algunos tonos más oscuros luego del horneado, para que lo tomen en cuenta y no pasen los marcadores más de una vez por el plástico.

Tried this out and loved it!! It's really simple to use for a lot of different crafts. For people having trouble drawing on it because of the smooth surface, you can just take some fine sand paper and rough it up a bit. I found that makes it easier for the surface to take pencil crayons or other colors. I tried using acrylic paint on the surface and it kind of worked? If you are going to use it then just water it a bit and use a thin layer, because if you put it on thickly then the paint bunches up when it shrinks (since the paint is "plastic-y"). Lastly when cutting your shapes out, if you have a sharp angle in your shape, cut it from different angles so that it does not crack. Even if there is a small crack you don't really have to worry about it because it's going to get thicker and shrink anyways. :)
