This thing is the biggest fountain I could find. I have 2 large dogs and 2 cats and only have to refill once a week.

Looks great especially the window and blue light to see water level. Runs very quiet.

This is great! I like the stainless steel, this should help prevent algae on the inside. Our old one was plastic and sun coming in was causing the tank to get yucky. Assembly was a snap, we have a very similar unit for our cat that he loves. The USB cord is nice and long so I didn't have to find a new home for the water because it was long enough to reach existing power in the kitchen. The pump is silent, the water flows well, my puppy started using it immediately. This thing holds a LOT of water, I was surprised how much it can hold. I believe it holds more than the old inverted Jug style that we've been using. Clean up should be a snap because it's stainless. I'm very pleased, it even fit on the existing water jug mat, because Moxie seems to think if she isn't getting water everywhere she's not doing it right.Welp... spoke too soon. My wife couldn't figure out why there was so much water on the floor, initially I thought the dog was just doing what she does but no, the sight window is leaking. I had to pick everything up, drain the base, and I'll have to dry it out before I can seal it. Lost about half a gallon of water into the mat that we use under the water because it's able to catch a lot of water. So, if there is anything to be mindful of, if you get this, make sure your sight window doesn't leak.

Plastic can shed microplastic particles which are harmful, and once it gets scratched it tends to become an incubator for all kinds of bacteria. The stainless steel design is not only healthier but it is also attractive.The fountain has a reservoir at the bottom with a window that lets you see how full it is, and an LED light that turns from blue to red when the water level is low. As the water is feeding up through the reservoir, it is forced through a filter which cleans it. As we all know, dogs and some other pets can quickly foul their own water, and this helps keep it healthy. In addition I have three golden retrievers which drink a lot of water, and without a large fountain such as this I have to clean and refill their bowls almost hourly. This lets me go several days before I have to refill the bowl. I quickly spray off the filter and the foam piece that goes over it and refill the water and I'm good for several more days. If you are going to need to leave your pet for an extended period, then this can help them stay hydrated until you can return. Not only hydrated, but hydrated with clean water. What more could you ask for this type of product?
