It's a good rangefinder, good value. Battery does run out quicker than expected.

I had high hopes for this rangefinder but it fell way short of what I expected. First off, the button clicks loudly when I press it. I clicked it 20 yards from a bedded buck and am convinced the sound is what caused him to immediately stand. It also takes a few seconds to “wake up” every time. My other rangefinder is immediately ready to range as soon as I press the button. Waiting 2-3 seconds for this to wake up is not an option. That could ruin an encounter that may only last a few seconds. It also doesn’t even range half the time. Unless the tree/animal I’m ranging is brightly lit, it just won’t send back a reading at all. I’m not talking just first/last light either. Midday, a dark-ish tree might just not get a range at all. Worst of all, it consistently reads 1.5-2 yards short of the other rangefinders we have. For rifle, that doesn’t matter. But as a woman with a relatively low draw weight/length in archery, I need to know the actual range to my target to get an ethical shot. Being 1.5-2 yards off consistently could turn a not-great-but-acceptable shot into a wounded animal.

Straight forward click button get distance. I am using it for bow hunting. I dont think it would be that easy to use past 100 yards. Optics are clear enough but a higher magnification would be better. I like the tilt function. I found my pace off distances were about right. LCD works fine in daylight. Dawn or dusk it is really hard to read. Mine came with the battery but no case. Which is fine because I dont like velcro on my hunting gear. I just use an old sock and that works fine.
