The heating element in my dryer has burned out a few times. I was pleased the last Siwdoy element lasted 4 years so I purchased another one this time. To ensure longevity, I had previously cleaned the dryer air path and fans, verified good airflow cfm, and cleaned all ductwork end to end with a Deflecto dryer duct cleaner.

Didn’t last 5 months. I’m on my 3rd one. Very cheap metal inside warps with the heat and eventually the coils end up grounding out causing the coils to break Which then brings up the error code.

For the price you can’t beat it. Very easy to install however I’ve had to purchase 2 within a year. The first one lasted only around 6 months and came with everything needed. I reordered the exact product again bc of the me knowing it was the correct product and wanted to see if this one would last longer. The 2nd one didn’t come with screws or brackets like the first so I had to use the brackets and screws from the 1st one.

This worked nicely in our 8-year-old Frigidaire Affinity dryer for a third of the cost of OEM (which I sure couldn't justify for this old beater). I replaced through the front and just didn't bother putting back the "evil screw" in the back - I figure that the next time this dryer moves will be to the dump or recycle pile, so I'm not particularly worried about the heating element popping lose during shipping or delivery. Under normal usage things are locked in pretty well, and I figure that other screw is really only there to keep things in place if the shipping box gets dropped off of a truck, but if it comes loose then I'll just open up the back and put that last screw in.UPDATED 9/2/19 - Element already failed after three months. I may try to get a replacement, but this is basically an emergency for my family so I'll have to order another brand to get things up and going again ASAP.
