What I like is the left-handed design in a non-worm-drive saw (most worm drives are left handed, most others are right-handed), which fits better with my usual usage. I also really like the magnesium plate and the quick, reliable depth and tilt adjustments. All in all a big step up from my old stamped-steel-plate saw, and delivers a level of accuracy that I used to have to go to the table saw for.

I bought a new Skil circular saw over 40 years ago and didn't realize how worn it was until now. When it finally gave out recently I decided to buy this one to replace it. It is incredibly smooth and quiet by comparison. Nice power. Cuts through plywood, OSB and dimensional lumber like butter. I'm really starting to appreciate the left side blade, never used one before but it's nice not to have to bend over your work to see what you're doing. Overall a really nice saw and would choose it again.

Long cord. Soft sheathing yet strong durable cord. (Not a stiff plastic cord)! This SkilSaw is best circular saw I’ve owned. I have several. All work, all cut… but this one is my go to. Right hand line of sight of blade to material contact. Near factory cut straightness from line of sight cuts. Saw dust does come towards you compared to old styled,“other side” line of sight”, circular saws. Saftey glasses while using all saws negates this inconvenience.This is an Actual SkilSaw, not just a term reference used by many for circular saw.This is the pioneering company the reference term comes from.“SkilSaw” is the contractor pro grade.“Skil”, is the DIY homeowner model.My garage is stocked with Skilsaw. Superior brand in circular saw and table saw technology. I have the beast worm drive gear-oil contractor portable table saw too.(Don’t get me started on how well pleased I am on that one).These two “SkilSaws”, are my dynamic duo.Oh did I mention the jigsaw… 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After using my milwaukee M18 saw, the power of this corded skill saw was welcome and the blade being on the left side is exactly why I bought it. Works great but I've only used it occasionally so how would it hold if it was used daily on a construction site. cant say. But it seems to be on par with any dewalt or makita saw I've used in the past

Tiene buena fuerza el motor y es relativamente silencioso para una sierra circular, para pesar 4 kg ± no es fácil usarla a una sola mano, el cable es bastante grueso y de buena calidad, tiene su ajuste de altura y ángulo con la llave para el cambio de disco en la zapata

I am right handed, but I like using this left handed side winder, because I can see the cut better. I bought this after my Porter Cable finally bit the dust after many years. This Skil is thoroughly as good as the Porter Cable and has some additional features such as a convenient locking blade mechanism right on the top of the saw. I love the sturdy magnesium table that enables straight, square cuts. I hate those cheap thin metal ones that get all bent after I use the saw for a while. It is very light weight, but still has plenty of power. I also loved the Skil blade that came with it. I ordered more of those because they cut like butter. If you like side winder saws, I highly recommend this one. Extremely well made and not expensive.
