I looked at several different ones and did not want to spend a lot. This I feel is good quality for the price. We have used it one and my daughter made little vase. It seemed easy to use. The directions were on the back on the box which I thought was weird. The potter wheel is durable plastic.

Any pressure used to form a shape makes the wheel stop working.

Bought this for my grand kid. Since it involves help from parent too it creates quality family time! Fun, hands on item! Kid loves it. Easy to use and price was good too!
Not enough power

Box looks promising and I ordered it because it was not battery powered and I thought it would be a little bit stronger a motor because it was USB powered but that turned out not to be the case. When you place the clay on the base and it's wider than the center the wheel is too flimsy and the sides will tilt with the weight and slow the motor down. Found out within the first 2 minutes of turning on the wheel and using the clay. There are two speeds on the wheel and even at the highest setting this still happened. My sister is 10 and tried to make a cup holder for her teacher.

I read previous reviews and agree the wheel is weak however my 6 year old had no trouble making it work and absolutely loved it! The clay was really good quality as well. Fantastic for the price
