Worked good at first, , copied about 400 gb to a 512gb sandisk card, i think the sd card reader got hot, I could smell it over heating, now its working, but its incredibly slow, even with different cards, or in a different USB port, I wouldnt buy this one again

Needed a USB 3.0 adapter that could handle micro SD cards (used in my Samsung phone and tablet).This little "hub" has an "SD" card slot and a "microSD" card slot; exactly as indicated in the product description. Using this adapter is easy. Plug it into a standard USB type "A" socket, insert SD cards into either or both slots and do what you need to do. I plug mine into my desktop PC running Windows 10. It was immediately recognized, added two drive letters and I was ready to rock. Works well in either USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 type A sockets.The slots can be used simultaneously. I've copied one SD card in one slot to another SD card in the other slot. Works fine.I've had no difficulty inserting or removing the SD cards in their slots.With this product, I finally have an adapter that lets me read and write SD and microSD cards at USB 3.0 speeds. Very helpful loading files on a SanDisk 400GB microSD card!Happy I have this little adapter.

Filling out the review information and they asked me to rate this on “Warmth”. I guess the current crop of data storage adapters is going for a more feelings based rating system, as opposed to the more traditional “speed / capacity / reliability” model.So... how to frame warmth - numerically, or more metaphorical? I should probably go with Ben Franklin’s timeless quote, “The blessings of liberty are many, I mean, ‘several’ is probably closer... but more than a few, anyway.” Of course, this was long before the Internet, so it was literally months before his first reply was posted in the Philadelphia Journal of Commons. Astute reader JohnHanc76 noted> “Franko, U baked or wat???”. Certainly by today’s standards not the toastiest of roasts, but still brought some mid 1700’s heat.Likewise, this adapter is more than adequately warm for all of your SD card adjacent needs, but would require several dozen to do any serious cooking.
