Pretty cheaply made. Welds don't look strong. I wouldn't trust it. I'm sure on made in China.

I've had one of these on my truck for more than a decade and enjoy it so much that I bought another for a second truck. The hook is relatively small and not loud or overly noticeable, but it's there when I need it. It works great with loop-style recovery straps. The hook isn't as beefy as other options, but I've been on both ends of the recovery situation many times - including yanking out a 3/4 ton pickup hopelessly high centered in the snow with a backhoe - and it shows no signs of stress. I've even been rear-ended on the freeway with this thing. The car that slammed into the hook probably never drove again, but I drove away with only minor bends to the bumper. It also works great for holding dog leashes while parked at busy campgrounds.

Tough hook, looks mean too. Thinking of leaving it on full-time just to instill some politeness in those people who just like to park against your bumper, preventing you from accessing your trunk. Should do the job of towing just fine!

This thing is great. It makes towing people such a breeze. I drive a Jeep Wrangler and am therefore obliged to helping everyone who is in need of a tow or assistance on the road. "It's a Jeep thing." I didn't already have Drings or hooks on the rear bumper but I do have a tow bar installed. This is way better than putting a ball in there because I'm much more likely to use this than a ball. And I like that it is a hook and not a D-ring because it allows more options to hook onto. BEST PART SO FAR is that the two holes for the pin are the same size which allows to have just the hook extending beyond original receiver or have an extra inch extending. I really like it. So far it has been very durable. And if anything happens to it I'll be sure to comment on this review.
