Fittings require 5-6 wraps of Teflon tape.Valve function is very good to excellent, with minimal resistance, and no back-leakage.

Very happy with this shower diverter. It replaces one a diverter I installed 8 years ago.This is heavy metal advertised as solid brass. I checked with a powerful magnet and there is no reaction to the body of the valve. inside there is a 'flicker' of reaction as if there is a small presence of iron/steel inside. Beautifully finished chrome. I read all the negative comments. WOW. Sounds like a different product. I always use Teflon tape on this kind of joint. Works beautifully, smooth, no leaks and plenty of pressure and flow. Been in daily use for almost a month.

The build quality and materials are very good for the price. This was a replacement for an older 3 position control. The old one had 'shower, hose and both' all of which were on an unmarked chrome knob. The flow was horrible, water would always leak out of the device not being used as well as the control itself.The first difference I could tell was the dramatically improved water flow. It was the first time I could direct the shower stream to any part of the tub. Secondly, it is simple. Turn the lever towards the shower head and you get 'shower'. Turn it away from the shower head and you get 'hose'. It doesn't have the (useless) function of 'both'. Lastly, the lever has a smooth action and an excellent feel. And I think this might be the lowest priced shower control on Amazon!

Quality made part that is exactly as described and simple to install. Works great and worth the price. The switch to change directions or perfect and turns smooth. doesn’t take away from any of the water pressure.
