I found that my gardens are too limited on sun. This only worked for me with good sunshine, and even clouds or smoke will diminish or stop the flow. I just put a little electric fountain pump in it, and the frog fountain is working great in my greenhouse. Or it was until my cat knocked it over and broke the reservoir. So I'm back to order another one of these. This is a clean, classic-looking tabletop fountain that works with either the included solar pump or I went with a small electric pump. The frog on top is irresistible.

I love this solar fountain. I could sit and watch this fir hours. Very nice purchase, love my fountain!!

I managed to get the pieces to fit well enough to work but the pump almost doesn't fit with the tubing to the frog, took me quite a while to force it to sit right.The solar panel works, but if there is ANY shadow on it, the fountain stops dead. And I mean ANY SHADOW, even a small corner of the panel being shaded will stop the fountain. There is not battery pack or anything so the fountain only works when the solar panel is in full sun, even being overcast will stop the fountain.The ceramic is really well made and beautiful, I might replace the panel and pump next year with something better.

I like everything about this product except the method of moving the water from pond to frog mouth.As the frog is hollow it takes the pump all it can do to fill the frogs interior to overflow. Pulling the bottom plug off the frog and inserting a tube (4", 1/8"Dia) from mouth to plug, resealing with silicone. When the sun powers the pump the water then goes up and out the mouth as a stream rather than as spillover.It becomes a very relaxing addition to the deck.

Fountain works great. Wanted the fountain to enjoy watching the birds enjoy the fountain. Unlike a bird bath where there is a bit of upkeep to it. The fountain keeps the water circulating to prevent things from growing in it and water does not evaporate so quickly. I placed the fountain on the window sill because I have wide sills. Took a chance by placing the fountain there. Thought the fountain would fall off with one gusts of wind but it did not. Fountain is not a thin and delicate thing but is heavy with thick walls. The solar panel really catches the sun. Of course when a/or clouds passes by the fountain stops working but it's a little humorous, the birds get scar when the fountain stops flowing or starts up again. The wire that connects the fountain to the solar panel is pretty long. Using it any where the solar panel can be hidden easily and placed any where to catch the sun with no problem. Wish fountain was a little smaller for where I have chose to place the it, takes up half the sill. I have a blue bird feeder there also so it is a bit crowded. The blue birds really like having water there while eating their worms. It has been so enjoyable being able to watch them eat and play in the water at times right outside my window. All the same it is a really nice fountain and would highly recommend it even if it is not used as a bird bath like I have done. The sound of the water and the looks of the fountain is really really nice. I think it would be a nice little addition to ones garden setting.
